Thunivu Movie Storyline
Thunivu is a Tamil action movie written and directed by H Vinoth. The movie features Ajith Kumar in the lead role. The movie Thunivu also has Maju Warrier, Samuthirakani, John Kokken, Premkumar, Veera, and Cibi Chandran playing pivotal roles. The movie was produced by Boney Kapoor under the banner V Creations. The film’s music is composed by Ghibran while cinematography is handled by Nirav Shah and editing is done by Vijay Velukutty.
Movie title announced with the first look poster on September 21, 2022. The movie is scheduled to release on Pongal 2023. Tamil Nadu theatrical release of the movies was bagged by Red Gaint Movies.

Thunivu movie Production
In February 2022, Ajith Kumar’s 61st film as actor was announced with the working title AK61, to be produced by Boney Kapoor under Bayview Projects LLP and directed by H. Vinoth. It would mark the third collaboration between the trio following Nerkonda Paarvai (2019) and Valimai (2022). Vinoth said he narrated a single scene, written for a planned low-budget film, to Ajith; after he showed interest in joining, Vinoth agreed, thus the scale of the project increased. Principal photography began on 11 April at Hyderabad, and Manju Warrier signed on as the lead actress a month later. A set of Mount Road was erected in Hyderabad. The team successfully completed the first schedule at Hyderabad by 10 June 2022. The title Thunivu was announced on 21 September. The final shooting schedule took place in Bangkok and principal photography wrapped on 12 October. “Patchwork” filming and minor portions began later in the month. The dubbing of the film was completed by late November 2022.

The music of the film is composed by Ghibran. The first single titled “Chilla Chilla” was released on 9 December 2022, and the second single “Kasethan Kadavulada” on 18 December. Manju Warrier provided vocals only for the video version of the song.

Thunivu is scheduled to release in theatres on 12 January 2023, during Pongal, clashing with Varisu. The Tamil Nadu distribution rights of the film were acquired by Red Giant Movies and lyca Productions holds the overseas distribution rights.
